One of the most frequent statements made by climate change deniers is that we humans are incapable of altering something as big as our planet’s environment. I hear this all the time. And yet, proof of our impact and destructive activities is visible in literally millions of scientific images which are readily available to every one of us.

NASA recently published photos, taken by LANDSAT, of serious lake decline on the Mongolian Plateau. These lakes are shrinking into non-existence due to global warming and climate change, which are altering precipitation patterns in that region. The whole process is being sped up by intensive mining and farming activity. All of these things are, of course, entirely manmade and entirely avoidable.
